Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

NORTH CREEK: Judy A. Amell (Beaudet), 72 years young, entered into heaven, after a lengthy illness on February 22, 2024 at Elderwood North Creek.

Judy brought light into this world on March 26, 1951, to the late August and Lena (Blanchard) Beaudet. She graduated from Newcomb High School in 1971, where she crossed paths with her future husband, Glenn Amell. Their union was sealed on July 10, 1971, at St. James Church in North Creek.

After dedicating herself to homemaking for several years—an endeavor widely recognized as one of the most challenging occupations—Judy found her calling as the talented cook at the North Creek Meal site, a role she held for over 21 years. She took great joy in feeding and caring for the elderly members of her community, a task she approached with boundless love and enthusiasm.

Judy found pleasure in camping trips at Lake Harris, indulging in swimming and water skiing, hosting lively gatherings, and savoring her favorite beverages. In her retirement, she developed a fondness for playing cards, watching game shows, and occasional visits to Turning Stone Casino, where luck often favored her, particularly with the slot machines

Besides her parents, Judy is predeceased by her brother-in-law Stanley Moulton.

Left to honor and cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 51 years, Glenn Amell, of North Creek; her son, Andrew (Amy) Amell, of Johnsburg; her daughter, Jackie (Danny) Freebern, of North River; her beloved grandchildren: Ayden Amell of Johnsburg, Colby Gage and his partner Ashley LaValley of Queensbury, and Morgan (John) Belline of Brant Lake; as well as one great-grandchild expected this June. Also mourning her loss are her sisters, Jeanette (John) Harrington of Newcomb and Gail Mouton of Indian Lake; her brothers, Paul Beaudet of Bern, NY, and Charles “Boomer” Beaudet of Newcomb, NY; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Judy's family expresses profound gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care provided to Judy by her husband, Glenn.
